Facilitator Responsibilities
Who
Meeting/event facilitators may be Chairs or other members of Milwaukee DSA Working Groups, Committees, Caucuses, or general membership.
What & When
Facilitators have the following responsibilities when holding meetings/events:
- 2-6 weeks prior | Secure in-person meeting space, if applicable
- 2-6 weeks prior | Submit Milwaukee DSA Meeting & Event Submission Form, which includes completing the the In-Person / Hybrid Meeting Checklist according to our Accessibility Standards for Meetings and Online Platforms
- 1 week prior | Final deadline for Milwaukee DSA Meeting & Event Submission Form
- At meeting | Take minutes and save to appropriate Google Drive folder (not required for social events)

Secretary Responsibilities
Core Support
After receiving the Milwaukee DSA Meeting & Event Submission from the meeting/event facilitator, the chapter Secretary has the following responsibilities:
- Create on Zoom (for virtual/hybrid – default is with passcode, no host)
- Create on Action Network
- Publish on Milwaukee DSA calendar
- Publish on Facebook
Additional Support
Additional support includes but is not limited to:
- Recurring meeting planning
- In-person meeting venue guidance
- Event visual branding info & support
- Google Drive instruction & access (if not previously provided by working group/committee)

Communications Officer Responsibilities
Core Support
After the Secretary publishes event to calendar, the Communications Officer includes event in newsletters, currently published on the 1st and 15th of each month. Ability to include in newsletter is dependent on submission timeline.
Additional Support
Additional support includes but is not limited to:
- Dedicated email to membership/email list

Social Media Subcommittee Responsibilities
Core Support
After the Secretary publishes event to Facebook, the Social Media Subcommittee posts on Twitter/Instagram. Ability to post on socials is dependent on submission timeline.
Additional Support
Additional support includes but is not limited to:
- Additional scheduled social media posts
- Social media graphics support
