It is the policy of Milwaukee DSA that any printed and other promotional materials such as flyers, handbills, t-shirts, mugs, keychains, pens, stickers, et cetera be bought from companies whose workers are represented by a union. Printed items on paper under 100 copies are exempt from this policy because they could be printed in-house or using a member’s personal printer. Using a personal printer can result in a reimbursement of $0.05 per black and white page and $0.15 per color page printed, with pre-approval by the treasurer. Also, occasional “homemade” items such as a banner painted by members are exempt. Milwaukee DSA includes all working groups, committees, caucuses, and any other subdivision of the chapter.
