The monthly General Meeting of the Milwaukee chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America. This is a great place to learn about the chapter, join us in making collective decisions, and get plugged in to our active campaigns and working groups.

Soak up the sun and unwind with us after our July general meeting at Bradford Beach. This event is open to anyone interested /already members of DSA. It is also family friendly. Don't forget your sunscreen, beach towels and a cold drink. Look for the DSA flag to find the crew.

The news is out - door to door conversations in Milwaukee neighborhoods are going to turn the tide of the election, and we need your help turning the tides toward a Francesca Hong win.

Join this volunteer-organized grassroots neighborhood canvass to help us elect a true progressive to be our next Governor fighting for working families. Each door knock helps us connect to voters and build a movement that can transform Wisconsin.

Voters are happy to see us and come to the door if they're interested to talk to you. When canvasing, we get the opportunity to learn what matters in our communities and share why we support a candidate with a plan to make better possible.

Training will be provided, no experience is necessary, please bring a charged cell phone!

We're hosting a cookout and art build for the Francesca Hong campaign in Shorewood! We'll have burgers, hot dogs, brats, and grilled vegetables to eat, and we'll also be setting aside space for arts and crafts! Homemade sign-making materials will be supplied, but please bring your own craft projects if desired! We'll be meeting by the grills east of the garages.

Come grab a drink or snack with fellow socialists at our monthly mixer at Art Bar on Tuesday, June 9th at 7pm. This will be a casual gathering where you can get to know other comrades who are in DSA or interested in socialism and discuss upcoming chapter events. Please RSVP so we know how to prepare and can contact you if the location changes! All are welcome - whether you are just curious about DSA, you are a new or a longtime member.

Come to the Milwaukee Leader's next writing jam to produce some original content for our chapter's very own socialist publication. Bring a laptop or notebook and collaborate with comrades on whatever ideas you'd like to see published. Feel free to bring art supplies if you'd prefer to produce or work on a piece of visual art.
The Leader accepts a variety of different kinds of submissions; opinion pieces on Milwaukee issues, news analysis, review of local businesses and events, art work, poetry, and more are all very welcome. Writing jams are a fun, low-pressure, and collegial way to get over writer's block and put some ink to paper. We hope to see you there.
